This guide explains how to publish a new job listing using the ready-made template. Follow these steps every time you post a job.
Step 1: Duplicate the Template Draft
Go to Posts > All Posts in the WordPress dashboard. Find the draft titled “TEMPLATE – How to Post a Job (Do Not Publish – Duplicate This)”. Hover over it and click Duplicate (if your site has a duplicate option), or open the template and copy its content into a new post. Never edit or publish the original template itself – always work on a copy.
Step 2: Change the Title
Replace the template title with the real job title, for example: “Ministry of Health – 200 Nurse Vacancies 2026 – Apply Online”.
Step 3: Replace the Featured Image
In the post settings sidebar, replace the placeholder image with a relevant, copyright-free image. You can also swap the placeholder image at the top of the post content.
Step 4: Edit ONLY the Values in the Job Details Box
The “Job Details” table has two columns: the detail name and its value. Change only the values (the right-hand column) – Published Date, Last Date to Apply, Category, Department / Organization, Job Title, Total Vacancies, Age Limit, Qualification / Education, Location, Salary, How to Apply, and Official Website Link. Do not rename the labels in the left column.
Step 5: Replace the Post Text
Rewrite each section – Introduction, Vacancy Details, Eligibility Criteria, How to Apply, Important Dates, Important Links, FAQs, and Conclusion – with the real details from the official advertisement. Use your own words; never copy text from other websites.
Step 6: Add the Official Link
In the “Official Source / Advertisement” section at the end of the post, add a link to the official job advertisement or the employer’s official website. Every job post must have this.
Step 7: Check the Category
In the post settings sidebar under Categories, tick the correct category: Government Jobs, Private Jobs, CV & Interview, or Career Guides. Tick only one category per post.
Step 8: Publish
Preview the post, check that all placeholder text has been replaced, then click Publish. Your job listing is now live on ARJ4U.
Quick Rules
- Never publish the template itself – always duplicate it first.
- Never invent vacancy details – use only the official advertisement.
- Always include the official source link.
- Never copy text or images from other job websites.
